Portret współczesny Antoniego Turkiewicza. Antoni Turkiewicz urodził się w Nowej Hucie (dzisiaj Ukraina). Później w wyniku przesiedlenia znalazł się we Wrocławiu. Tu ukończył szkołę podstawową i technikum mechaniczne. Ukończył też AWF. Wieloletni gracz piłki ręcznej, na pozycji kołowego w WKS Śląsk oraz we wrocławskim AZS. Z powodów zdrowotnych przerwał karierę zawodnika i za namową Kazimierza „Kaja” Frąszczaka został trenerem młodzieżówki. Nauczyciel w Szkole Podstawowej nr 16 we Wrocławiu, z którą zdobywał tytuły Mistrza Polski. Trener młodzieżowej reprezentacji Śląska.
