History
Absolwent architektury Wyższej Szkoły Technicznej w Wilnie, uczęszczał do Studia Dramatycznego przy Polskim Teatrze Dramatycznym. Grał w Wilnie (1944-45), Toruniu (1945, 46-48), Olsztynie, Poznaniu.
W 1949 r. związał się z Teatrem Polskim we Wrocławiu, w latach 1981 - 85 był dyrektorem i kierownikiem artystycznym Teatru. Od 2000 r. aktor Teatru Narodowego w Warszawie.
Wykładał na PWST a w 1979 r. został pierwszym dziekanem Wydziału Aktorskiego uczelni. W latach 1972 - 1994 był wykładowcą Wydziału Wokalno-Aktorskiego Akademii Muzycznej we Wrocławiu.
Zmarł 27 lipca 2009 r. we Wrocławiu.
